연구실 개괄
한국과학기술연구원 생체재료연구단은 손상된 인체조직의 기능이나 형태를 재생 또는 보완하기 위해 조직공학 및 줄기세포를 이용한 재생 연구, 생체 적합 기능소재 개발, 그리고 맞춤형 치료를 위한 정량 진단용 나노 모니터링 기술개발에 매진하고 있으며, 아울러 질환의 조기치료를 위한 약물 전달시스템과 극한 분석기술을 이용한 생체모사 연구도 수행하고 있습니다.
성공적인 재생의학은 매트릭스공학, 줄기세포공학 및 면역조절의 통합을 통해 얻어질 수 있습니다. KIST 생체재료연구단의 STEM (Smart Tissue Engineering and Materials) 연구실은 이 세 가지 주요 연구분야에 중점을 둔 실용화를 위한 조직공학 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.
STEM’s Research Topics
저희 연구실에서는 다양한 분야(소재/소자 공학, 생물학, 화학, 의공학, 약학)의 전문가들이 유기적으로 융합하여 인류의 건강한 삶과 수명 연장을 위한 미래 의공학 핵심기술 개발을 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 특히 자기조직화 및 세포 프라이밍을 유도하는 소재의 개발 및 이를 이용한 줄기세포의 3차원 미세조직체의 기술 이전을 통해 말초동맥폐색 치료 등 다양한 줄기세포 치료제의 실용화를 위한 연구, 줄기세포와 간세포/암세포를이용한 3차원 생체모사조직 개발 및 약물 평가 시스템 개발, 그리고 피부 등 조직재생을 유도할 수 있는 3D 바이오 프린팅을 위한 임상 적용이가능한 소재 중심의 잉크 개발 등에 집중하고 있습니다.
